First off, I want to thank everyone who came out to our game on Sunday--the atmosphere at that game was simply amazing!!!!....The week started out pretty well--except for school started back up--we had Monday off and I went to class and then hit the gym to work out these kinks in my shot. I had a lot of time to catch up on some much needed sleep and really just sat around the apartment here. Tuesday's practice was an awesome practice--I thought the practice was extremely efficient and we got a lot of things done--and Wednesday's practice was a very good one as well. So, I felt like we were very confident going into Thursday's game against Northwestern. Don't get me wrong, we weren't over-confident, because we realize that anyone can beat anyone on any give night. The game against Northwestern couldn't have worked out any better. We had some good time to rest our starters and get some quality minutes for us (the bench)--I thought we went out there and really sent a message that our bench can be just as successful when we simply and have fun! To be honest--it had been a long time since I really had fun playing--and I HAD FUN!!!! Practice Friday and Saturday weren't as good as practice Tuesday and Thursday, but I don't think our confidence was lacking--we spent a large amount of time on really focusing on what Minnesota was going to do and I thought we were so prepared going into the game. The game itself was so AWESOME--the atmosphere was amazing--I mean, it was just a fun game to play! Minnesota is a very good team, but we felt as though we were the better team and we just needed to go out and send a message to the rest of the conference and country.....On a side note, Jannon and I have really been working on my shot before practices--she's been putting me through some drills that have really been making me work and we've been watching some game film. I still don't feel like my shot is where I want it to be, so I am not going to quit working on it--just hopefully one of these days--I'll bust loose!!!!.....Now, time to prepare for Ohio State....GO BOILERS!!!!!
