As I get ready to cross the Atlantic, I wanted to make sure you all were updated. Our flight leaves at 10 p.m. tonight and is a nine hour flight to Copenhagen, Denmark. I am getting extremely excited to visit another country and experience the Scandinavian lifestyle... So far I arrived at University of Illinois on Sunday at two, met everyone on the team, and practiced from 5-7:30 p.m. Coach Grentz is pretty cool and I am looking forward to playing for her. I may get to experience playing not only the point, but all positions 1-4. For those of you who don't think I can play the point here is chance to prove myself. Everyone on the team is awesome. We all get along with one another very well.  On Monday we had two practices and kind of just hung out with one another all day. It is great making friends with other players to represent the Big Ten.

This morning we had practice, packed, and got on a bus to drive to the O'Hare airport. Now we are ready for the long flight. I will arrive in Denmark about 6-7am Indiana time on Wednesday. Although I am excited to travel overseas I never am a fan of flying or long flights. It does make it better having a promise from someone who will come and get me if anything goes wrong (KC). This Midwestern girl is sure gonna miss Indiana, but with a goal of defending the Big Ten 5-0 record overseas I will be back soon! Keep up with the team at Bigten.org!
