Back from a LONG road trip! It seems so long ago that we actually took off from Sea-Tac to go to Phoenix. It’s easiest to talk about the game that just recently happened. Going into the game against Washington we were looking to go to 2-2 on the trip and unfortunately we lost a heart breaker. Lauren Jackson is a WOMAN! She HAS to the MVP of this league. It’s disheartening of course that she scored 47 and we were unable to win the ball game, but man, what a show she put on! Also, it was great to see Sue hit the game winner at New York!

NEW YORK! My first visit to the Big Apple and I was not a big fan at all. There are way too many people in that city. Izi took me around the city because obviously that Izi loves New York.

She’s really had some great games against New York and especially in The Garden. We made trips to the top of the Rockefeller, Ground Zero, and we even took the subway; all experiences I will never forget. However, the best part of that trip was playing in MSG. One of the most historic arenas and where I can remember watching Reggie Miller constantly bury 3-pointers in front of Spike Lee!

On the rookie hazing thing…..not so much! I have actually been very fortunate because I have a great group of vets that really take care of me. I am blessed to be in the situation I am in. Izi is teaching me some Portuguese; that’s been fun because I am picking it up pretty well!

Now, it feels good knowing we are home for awhile, but we understand that it doesn’t guarantee us wins when we are in The Key. We are about to play 3 solid teams in this home stand starting Friday night with Indiana. So, we hope to see ya’ll in Key Arena Friday night making that place really thunder!
